Stephanie Prager is an associate attorney at Breeding & Henry, LLC, who focuses her practice on appellate work, employment law, and domestic relations. Stephanie has developed the skills necessary to succeed as a litigator and as an appellate advocate. She takes the time to understand what a client’s goals and needs are, and has managed a wide range of legal matters, from federal age discrimination claims to defense of pet owners’ rights in personal injury cases.
Stephanie favors the research and writing aspects of law practice and has composed several appellate briefs in the areas of divorce, termination of parental rights, and adoption. She has also composed a Rule 11 application for permission to appeal to the Supreme Court of Tennessee, which was granted review in a complex surrogacy case. She represents clients in various state courts, has oral argument experience before the Tennessee Court of Appeals, and is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Prior to joining Breeding & Henry, LLC, Stephanie worked as a commercialization analyst for the University of Tennessee Research Foundation, and also as a law clerk for the Honorable James Curwood Witt, Jr., on the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. Stephanie is a graduate of the University Of Tennessee College Of Law where she was a teacher’s assistant for legal research and writing, a UT Law Diversity Scholarship recipient, and recognized for her advanced appellate advocacy brief writing skills.
Stephanie is originally from northern West Virginia, and graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University with a double major in political science and psychology. She also has a master’s degree in public administration.
